Who we are

We are photographers. We are passionate. And we're united by the same obsession:: the light that only appears once everyone else has gone home.

We're drawn to unrepeatable moments, to places that transform after dark, and to stories that can only be told through an image. Because for us, photography has never been just about learning to use a camera. It's about seeing differently, waiting for the right moment, and being there when it happens.

Modobulb was born years ago as a photography training project. Over that time we shared technique, knowledge, and countless hours behind a camera. But over the years we came to understand there was something more.

Today Modobulb returns with a different way of understanding photography.

Technique is only the starting point, we’re here to go beyond the shot.

Manifesto

Photography is not just the camera.
It's being there.
Waiting for the light.
Walking a little further.
Staying when everyone else has left.
Looking again.
And making the photograph.

Testimonials

I came with the idea of learning a couple of things, but I ended up looking at photography in a different way. Luis knows how to explain things without making them complicated and, above all, he knows when to step back and let you do your thing. An experience I would do again without thinking twice.

Marta Iglesias

The best thing was that it didn't feel like a photography class. We spent time taking photos, talking, trying things out and looking for our own images. Luis was always there when we needed him, without ever being overbearing. I came away with a few photos that I still really like.

Jon Etxeberria

I had been on a few photography trips before, but this one was different. The location, the small group and Luis's way of working made everything feel much more relaxed. I learned quite a lot and enjoyed it even more.

Laura Campos

I arrived thinking I was going to learn some new technique, but I ended up learning something more important: patience, and how to wait for the photograph. Luis has a lot of experience and it shows, but the best thing is the way he shares it in such a down-to-earth way.

Diego Salaverría

One of those experiences you remember long afterwards. Everything was very well organised, but it never felt rigid or overly planned. Luis was attentive throughout and managed to help everyone develop their own ideas.

Ainhoa Muguruza

What I particularly liked was that he never tried to make everyone take the same photograph. He helped us find our own framing and understand better what we were looking for. I came away with some good photos, but above all, with the desire to keep taking pictures.
